S.I.M.P.L.E.

One of my daily struggles is keeping life simple. Not with things, I try to be a minimalist. If you take a look in my calendar, every day has something, everything is color coded and not to mention I have two of them for different reasons. I am an over-doer, an over-committer and an over-achiever. The worst part about it all is that sometimes I lose myself in the madness of it all. I have always thought it was important to be busy, it means you're doing something with your life. Well, I am doing many great things with my life. However, I want to learn how to prioritize these things better, to live a more whole life not just a busy life. Not to clutter my planer, but to live purposefully and to take time to reflect on life. If we don't ever take time by ourselves for reflection I strongly believe we will be spinning in circles going no where fast.

Simple is one of my favorite words, in the sense that it is quite honestly that SIMPLE. Two syllables, it sounds so pure and innocent.
: free from elaboration or figuration I simple harmony
: constituting a basic element : Fundamental
: Sheer, Unmixed, simple honesty
: free of secondary complications
Like one of my favorite songs by Florida Georgia Line, " The way this world was meant to be Like laughin' love, make a lot out of a little Its just that simple, S-I-M-P-L-E Simple as can be."

But how do we make life more simple for ourselves? What's the purpose of it all? Maybe you are completely content and don't see a need for simplicity, but I bet there is some part of your life that could use some simplifying.
If we begin to make our lives not about us, I strongly believe things would get a lot more simple. If we live enjoying every moment and not waiting for the next to come we can take in the true beauty and simplicity life has to offer.
Say no, set goals, spend time alone, quality over quantity, find joy in the simple things.
Since I'm talking about simplicity, that's all I have to say for now. Reflect on what in your life can become more simplified. How can you begin to live this life not about yourself, but about others around you. So often we just need to take our eyes off of ourselves to realize life is full of pure simplicity, joy and opportunity. What can you do today to live a more simple life, yet more full life...be a part of something greater than yourself.
