Being an avid foodie with a very nondiscriminatory taste pallet I have been to many restaurants and have a great appreciation for some good food.
Story Hill BKC & Blue's Egg are a must. Blue's can have quite a wait time so sometimes Story Hill is the place to visit next. With great vegetable vodka infused bloody mary's to Valentine coffee and exquisite dishes these are the ultimate brunch stops. The Monkey bread at Blue's is to die for with a cup of coffee. And being a huge soup fan BKC has great brat and beer cheese soup. One can really not go wrong with anything on the menu. These places are sure to excite the taste buds.
L.A. Jackson is located outside of Nashville in the Gulch. I absolutely adore the atmosphere here. It is trendy with a retro vibe. The views from this rooftop bar are incredible of downtown Nashville and the surrounding areas. Although the drinks can be pricey, it is well worth experiencing it at least once...even though I make it a point to visit every time I am in town.
Fun and trendy restaurant great for breakfast in downtown Milwaukee. The menu is full of fresh and healthy foods. A wonderful atmosphere with Milwaukee's famous exposed cream city brick. A must try place in the historic third ward, surrounded by many cute boutiques!
The best way to get there is by pontoon. This hidden treasure is located in Elberta, Alabama. Filled with island dogs and locals, Pirate's Cove serves great burgers and bushwhackers...for super cheap! This is just a fun place, off the beaten path where everyone is barefoot and probably missing a tooth or two and the authenticity of it all made me fall in love.
What's not to love about Southern Grind. I could eat everything on their menu, twice. This dog friendly place doubles as a restaurant and store. The decor and accessories are unique with a nautical flair. The one thing you must have from there is the Banana's Foster Coffee!!! I still get it shipped to me..
My cousin Dawn, her husband Dexter and I wandered Columbia, TN one night and discovered this hole in the wall. Amazing Burgers and BBQ with live music and open super late! Beer was cheap and it encompassed a cozy diner, truck stop vibe that made it wonderful.
Trendy restaurant located off of N. Water St. Downtown Milwaukee. The outdoor seating is perfect in summer, great food, especially breakfast. Their breads are super fresh. Highly recommend the Avocado Toast! Last breakfast I had before leaving for Miss USA.
